VACANCY – Research specialist for induced pluripotent cells and organoid models
The Czech Centre for Phenogenomics is a large research infrastructure that focuses on revealing gene functions and provides unique services for the biomedical and biotechnology research community in the fields of genome editing, phenotyping and animal model research. To expand our team we are currently looking for candidates for Induced pluripotent cells and organoid models.
Work responsibilities:
· Generation and culture of induced pluripotent stem cells
· 3D organotypic culture models
· Differentiation protocols for tissue culture models derived from iPSCs
· Maintaining cell cultures, cell transfection, production of viral particles (AAV, Lenti)
· Molecular biology methods (DNA, RNA isolation, PCR, qPCR, WB, cloning etc..)
· Development, testing, and implementation of new methods
· Imaging and microscopy for non-animal model characterization and phenotyping
We expect from the candidate:
· College/university degree in a cell and molecular biology or similar education
· Experience with cell culture techniques
· Experience with microscopy (live confocal)
· Knowledge of standard office software, image analysis
· Knowledge of English is necessity

The employer is the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The workplace is the CCP building in BIOCEV campus in Vestec. The initial contract is for 12 month with expected extension upon demonstrated proficiency.
